When Jesus was caught, Peter ran away and wandered around, having nowhere to go. Then, a maid came up to him and said,

This is the man who was with Jesus!

The maid stared at him and said again.

I am quite sure. You are also one of the disciples of Jesus.

Yes! You were with Jesus. You are also a Galilean!

Jesus' word became reality. Peter denied Jesus three times. Just then, a rooster crowed three times. Peter went outside and cried aloud.

Jesus was presented before the high council.

The council got very angry and said;

He is guilty! He deserves to die!

So, they took Jesus to the Roman governor called Pilate. But Pilate didn't think Jesus was guilty. He tried to get off with a light punishment.

But the crowds wouldn't stop yelling.

Pilate was defeated by the clamor of the crowd.

Jesus was beaten badly and was very hurt. Soldiers placed a woven crown of thorns on the head of Jesus.

He forced Jesus to carry his own cross to a hill called Golgotha where he was going to be crucified. After a long walk, Jesus was nailed to the cross.

Father, forgive them. They don't know what they are doing.

Then, the sky turned dark and continued for three hours.

Father, I place my life into your hands.

Jesus took his breath and died.
