Today we will tell the story of the Nativity, from the Annunciation to the Arrival of the Three Wise Men.

There was a young woman. Her name was Mary. One day, an angel visited Mary's house.

I am Gabriel. I came here to tell you something important. Do not be afraid. You are going to have a baby.

Yes, you are. Your baby is going to be very special. The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be holy—the Son of God. There is nothing that God cannot do.

I am a servant of the Lord. I will trust His word.

Joseph was Mary's soon-to-be husband. He was worried when he heard about this news. One day, when he was sleeping, an angel appeared in his dream.

I am Gabriel. I came here to tell you something important. Do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. She is going to have a baby and name him Jesus. He is going to save the people from their sins.

The rulers of the country wanted to count all the people in their hometowns, so Mary and Joseph traveled to Bethlehem. They were looking for a place to stay. Joseph knocked on the door of an inn.

We're coming from Nazareth to Bethlehem. Do you have a room for two people tonight?
Innkeeper 1

I'm sorry, but we don't have any rooms available right now.
Joseph

Oh, I see. We will find another inn. Thank you anyway.

Mary and Joseph were disappointed and walked to the inn next door. He knocked on the door of the next inn.

Yes?

Excuse me, but we're coming from Nazareth. Do you have room for two people tonight? We had a long trip, and my wife has a baby in her belly.
Innkeeper 2

We have no room here!

Oh, okay... We will find another inn. Thank you anyway.

Mary and Joseph were disappointed again, but they didn't give up finding room for two. They walked to the next door and again Joseph knocked on the door of the next inn.

Good evening, Sir.
Joseph

Excuse me, but we're coming from Nazareth. Do you have room for two people tonight? We are very tired from the long trip from Nazareth. My wife has a baby in her belly.

I'm sorry, we are full tonight.

Oh, no... What should we do? There is nowhere we can stay. It's very cold outside tonight...

Wait! We don't have a room but we have a stable.

There are some cows, horses, and sheep sleeping there, but it has shelter and it is warm.

Mary and Joseph followed the innkeeper to the stable.

That night, some shepherds were looking after their sheep in a nearby field.

Suddenly, an angel appeared in the sky.

Do not be afraid, shepherds. I am an angel from heaven. I am going to tell you some good news. A baby was born in Bethlehem today. He is the Son of God. He is sleeping peacefully in a manger in an old stable.

Far away, the Magi, the three wise men, were studying the stars. Then, they noticed there was a big bright star in the eastern sky.

We must follow the star and meet our king.

The Magi, the three wise men, followed the star with their presents for Baby Jesus. When they arrived in Bethlehem, they found Him.
