One day, there was a wedding celebration in the town of Cana in Galilee. Mary, Jesus, and his disciples were invited to the wedding. Wedding guests were dancing and celebrating. Then, the wedding host noticed they had run out of wine.
Wedding Host
2
Oh! We have run out of wine! What should I do?
Narrator

During those days, wine was always needed at wedding parties. Mary noticed that they ran out of wine and walked over to Jesus.
Mary
4
Jesus, they have no more wine for the celebration. What should we do?
Jesus
5
It has nothing to do with me. The time has not come yet.
Mary
6
I understand.

Then, Mary said to the servants.

Please listen to Jesus. Do whatever he tells you.

In Jewish homes at that time, there were large stone jars used to clean hands and feet. Jesus stood up from his chair and walked to the front of the six large stone jars for water. He said:
Jesus
11
Fill the six jars with water.
Servant 2
12
Yes, sir. Let's do what Jesus said. Fill the jars with water.
Servant 1
13
Okay.
Jesus
14
Now take some out and give it to the master of the banquet.
Mary
15
Okay.
Narrator

A servant poured water into a cup and gave it to the master of the wedding.
Servant 2
17
Excuse me, Master.
Master
18
Yes?
Servant 2
19
We have brought this water.
Master
20
Why did you bring me water?... Oh! This is not water! This is delicious wine!
Narrator
21
The master of the wedding tasted the wine and was surprised at its delicious taste. No wonder he was surprised, because usually the best wine is served first, and later on after everyone is drunk, they serve cheap wine.
Master
22
You have saved the best wine for last! This is amazing!
Wedding Host
23
Oh?
Master
24
Hahaha!

Jesus just smiled and said nothing. Disciples talked with each other whispering:

Did you see that? Our Lord turned water into delicious wine!

After all, He IS God!

This was the first miracle Jesus performed. Needless to say, this made his disciples feel more and more sure that Jesus was God.
