
7. The Miracle of the Loaves and Fish

Jesus and his disciples gathered on a stone pavement plaza by the Sea of Galilee. Jesus was talking with them and sometimes healed the sick people. Eventually the sun began to set.

I'm getting hungry. Can we get some food?
Person 2

Look around. There is nothing in this place. How can we get any food?
Disciple

My Lord, it's getting late now. Everyone is hungry. What should we do?
Jesus

Where can we get the bread to give out such a large number of people?
Disciple

There are too many people...

Then, a young boy carrying a small basket with loaves and fish approached Jesus.
Little Boy

Jesus, I have these five small loaves of bread and two fish... I don't know if it's enough, but I want to give them to you...
Jesus

Thank you, my young friend! This is a wonderful gift! Come with me.
Narrator

Jesus asked everyone to sit and took the loaves of bread and fish from the boy's basket and held them for everyone to see. He looked up to heaven and said a blessing.

Jesus broke the bread and fish into smaller pieces and gave them to his disciples. As his disciples gave the food to the people, the pieces began to multiply.

How is this possible?

We all have enough to eat!

After everyone was full, they gathered around Jesus. They collected the remaining bread and fish. There were twelve baskets of bread and fish.

This is the prophet we have been looking for!

Jesus taught us that if we generously share what we have, it will be passed on to everyone and returned to us with greater power. So, let's all do our best to help those around us as much as we can.
